Turkish Coffee
A traditional coffee widely enjoyed in the Middle East, made by slowly simmering very finely ground coffee beans with water in a small pot known in Arabic as a “Rakwa”. It is served unfiltered, giving it a rich body, deep flavor, and a slight bitterness. After being poured into a cup, the grounds settle at the bottom, and the clear layer on top is enjoyed. It was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2013.
